Dear Presenter:

We would like to invite you to be a part of the upcoming Seventh Annual South Texas Career EXPO to be held, Friday, March 28, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the J. K. Northway Exposition Center located in Kingsville.  We again expect approximately 2200 high school students from across South Texas to attend.

The goals of the South Texas Career EXPO are as follows:

·         To provide students with interactive or demonstration type career exploration opportunities in both technical and academic fields.

·         To provide students with an opportunity to connect knowledge of a degree or certificate with a specific career.

·         To expose students to current and future career fields.

·         To provide students an opportunity to interview and discuss specific careers with instructors.

·         To provide this opportunity to as many students in South Texas as possible.

Over the years a number of colleges and universities have asked to set up college outreach or recruiting booths. We do not allow recruitment, admissions or outreach booths for colleges or universities.  Each booth must have a specific career focus.  If you are a recruiter, please forward and encourage your specific career departments or colleges to attend the South Texas Career EXPO.

It is very important that you indicate what equipment you will be bringing that will need electricity.  Tables vary in length. We cannot guarantee additional tables on the day of the EXPO. If you have specific needs, please indicate these on the RSVP form.

The EXPO is a collaborative effort by the Kleberg-Kenedy County Texas Cooperative Extension Service, Coastal Bend College, Riviera Kaufer High School, H. M. King High School, KEYS Academy, Academy High School, Bishop High School,  and the Kingsville Chamber of Commerce.

You will not receive any additional information until early March.  Please consider yourself confirmed unless you hear otherwise.
