Brush Country Inn is a great attraction in Riviera. It is located of off Highway 77. The owners are Joe and Linda Gates. Brush Country Inn has been in Riviera for about 25 years. At one time it was called the Riviera Inn. The specialty of the house is Chicken fried steak and Mexican food. Homemade juicy hamburgers are also a great treat. All menu items are reasonably priced.

Some of the most famous people to eat there have been some of the Dallas Cowboys football players, Tom Landry, and some ex-governors. The most frequent customers are the truckers, winter Texans, local people and travelers. Employees of the restaurant say the their customers always return because of the good food and relaxed atmosphere.

Brush Country Inn closed at the end of 2003.
